A Lautaro Martínez brace helped Inter Milan come from a goal down to beat Fiorentina 2-1 on Wednesday and win the Coppa Italia, with the Nerazzurri now able to extend the celebrations by avoiding defeat against Atalanta, which would confirm their top-four finish. Coach Simone Inzaghi acknowledged Inter’s priorities after Wednesday’s win indicating “We have the league again, and then Istanbul” where they face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final.

Although a 3-1 defeat to Napoli last matchday halted their five-game winning run in Serie A (SA), a return to the San Siro should fuel hopes of a revival. Inter have won their last two home league games and another victory here will make it the first top-flight season H2H double over Atalanta since 2014/15 after they won the reverse fixture 3-2.

Atalanta’s top-four hopes received a boost with a 3-1 win over Verona last Saturday aligning with Juventus’ ten-point penalty.
